The picture above shows a portion of the back of a Red Seal Document issued in the name of the King in 1846 just prior to the Kot Massacre. It bears he signatures of several of leading historical figures including that of Jang Bahadur, the founder of the Rana dynasty of hieretiary prime ministers who ruled Nepal until 1951. The full document may be seen on the last page of the section listed below as "A Period of Chaos 1837-1846."
The following section constitutes the first part of a new exhibit that I am working on and includes many new items. This section covers the history of Nepal through the end of the rule of Bhim Sen Thapa in 1837. This exhibit will be entered in the display class which allows documents, letters, pictures and other collateral material in addition to philatelic items.
